The univent opener has an adjustable opening temp of between 60-75F and opens to 18 inches. It can handle 15lbs of weight. Additionally, it has a quick disconnect to allow the opener to stay shut.

Designed to work without electricity. The opener has a metal cylinder containing a wax which expands when heated. This pushes a piston that opens the vent. As the temperature cools, the mineral shrinks and a spring closes the vent and resets the piston.
